Lost default pages: "About Us", "Contact", "Blog" etc

Hello,

I installed Local 2.2.4 and opened my site in the TwentySeventeen theme. I saw the usual “Home”, “About Us”, “Blog” and “Contact” pages as expected.

I then used https://wordpress.org/plugins/fakerpress to generate content. After which I wanted to take the wordpress database back to what it was, so I installed https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-wp-reset and reset my database.

MY PROBLEM IS
No matter how many new sites I create on Local, they all only have the pagesSample Page” and “Privacy Policy” (which was created by the Fakerpress plugin).

WHAT I TRIED
To try resolve this I uninstalled Local and Oracle virtual box. I deleted the folders “.docker”, “.Virtualbox” and “Local Sites”. I also deleted the folder “C:\Users\MP\AppData\Roaming\Local by Flywheel”. Finally I restarted my machine and reinstalled Local thinking that for sure my database will be back to where it should be. But it is not, I only have the pages Sample Page and Privacy Policy for any new site I create.

On second attempt I followed @clay 's FAQ on how to uninstall http://local.getflywheel.com/community/t/how-do-i-uninstall-local-on-windows/465 . Still, the problem persists!

PLEASE HELP!
Could anyone please direct me as to what I need to do to get Wordpress populating with it’s usual default data? If I need to do a complete clean install I’ll be happy to do so, I just don’t know how in light of what I already tried

Thanks
Michelle

Umm… have I got this totally wrong? Is Sample Page and Privacy Policy the only pages which get created when a new wordpress site is made on Local?

I think you have answered your own question :grinning:

Although I have not specifically tested that theory, I install several WordPress sites last evening, and yes, I believe that Local gives you pretty much a bare install. The “Hello Dolly” plugin was even missing.

Hey guys,

The “Sample Page” has always been the default page that is created when a new WordPress site is initialized.

As of the most recent WordPress version of 4.9.6 there is also the Privacy Policy page that is created.

This is because of all the work WordPress has been doing to make it easier for site owners to comply with the new GDPR law that went into effect in the EU on May 25th.

Hope that helps give some backstory on things!
