Not working on High Sierra (beta)

The latest release is not working on the latest public beta of High Sierra. Of course this can be expected of a beta release, but I though it might be wise to triage this issue before the definite release of High Sierra and off course I was wondering if others experienced the same issues.

Currently, local throws out an “ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED” for any started site.

  • The host is pingable
  • I can access the database and use Sequel
  • The host is created in the .hosts
  • Mailhog is accessable

Happens with both NGINX and Apache on existing and new sites.

No significant errors in the .log

Experiencing the same exact thing. Have tried everything from updating to the latest Local by Flywheel (from 2.0.4 to 2.0.5) to completely uninstalling and re-installing but keep getting same results. Same as @nielsvr I can ping the sites, access mysql, verified that entry is created in hosts, etc. The whole no significant log errors thing has, understandably, made this issue impossible to diagnose and fix thus far. Any help from anyone on this is greatly appreciated.

Hi all,

Thanks for trying Local on High Sierra! I’m currently setting up another VM to test out High Sierra.

I’ve also made a ticket to keep track of this issue.

Local is not loading for me on my High Sierra Beta.
Splash screen comes up…the green dots go on and off.
"Starting Local Machine…"
But that’s as far as she goes.
Here’s hoping this gets resolved soon. I really like Local!

Clay, wondering if there’s any status update on supporting High Sierra. It’s understandable that as a beta OS that there would be issues, so not worried about that. But if history holds the production release of the OS will be released the week of September 18th, so we’re about a month out right now. Given that the latest Beta release is prompting the New OS Tour, I suspect it’s getting close to GM.

I’m wondering if your team knows what changed in High Sierra to cause the issues since I also saw some comments about people who custom built their own stack having a similar issue as well (and for the life of me can’t find them now for reference). I see the latest release from yesterday didn’t solve the issue either.

Thanks and looking forward to being able to use it again on my dev machines.

Looking for a status update on High Sierra support as well? Soon?
